Slurry Shield TBM
The Slurry Shield Tunnel Boring Machine (Slurry TBM) is engineered for tunneling through unstable, loose, sandy, and gravelly ground conditions subjected to high hydrostatic water pressure. In this advanced system, excavation face stability is dynamically maintained via a pressurized bentonite slurry, while excavated materials are continuously transported out of the tunnel through a closed-loop hydraulic slurry circulation circuit.

- Key Features & Benefits
- Delivers pinpoint face pressure control within ± 0.1 bar ±0.1 bar to counteract extreme underground water and soil pressure effectively.
- Purpose-built to stabilize highly permeable, loose sand and water-bearing ground, completely preventing face collapse and sinkholes.
- Hydraulic pipe muck extraction ensures clean, continuous, and dust-free transport of cut rock and gravel directly to the surface separation plant.
- Robust pressurized shield design operates reliably under extreme depths and high-pressure sub-river and subsea conditions up to 10 bar.
