Slurry Treatment Plant – STP
The Slurry Treatment Plant (STP) is one of the key auxiliary systems in mechanized tunneling, designed to separate excavated soil and rock particles from the bentonite slurry returned from the tunnel face. The treated slurry—now cleaned and reconditioned—is recirculated back into the TBM circuit, enabling a continuous and economical slurry excavation cycle while dramatically reducing fresh slurry consumption and disposal volumes.
